Welcome to Quebec

Harley tilts his head at the menu. “Poo-tin?” he says carefully. Dad chuckles. “Close! It’s poutine.” Harley grins. “Snack magic with gravy!”

Quebec is full of words that swirl like music and waterfalls that roar like applause. Harley and Dad explore the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec before heading to Montmorency Falls, where the air itself sparkles.

The Story

The city hums with French chatter, street music, and the smell of baking bread. Harley tries a polite “Bonjour!” to a shopkeeper, who beams back. Dad winks. “You’re getting the hang of it.”

At Montmorency Falls, mist curls in the air. Harley peers into the foaming water and spots a little white plush floating in the souvenir shop window. Round face. Big smile. Tiny fins. Dad laughs. “Looks like you found your next friend.”

Harley names him Bubbles the Beluga, and together they watch the waterfall thunder past. “He says it sounds like home,” Harley whispers proudly. Dad smiles. “So do you, buddy.”

Plushie of the Chapter

Bubbles the Beluga plushie
Bubbles the Beluga

Snowy white and sweet as a wave, Bubbles is the friendliest plush whale in the sea. He hums soft ocean songs when he’s happy and adores being tucked beside Harley during long drives.

Bubbles believes joy is meant to be shared — the more laughter you add, the more bubbles appear! He’s a gentle reminder that kindness travels further than sound.

Harley’s note: “He says I snore louder than the waterfall. I think that’s a compliment.”
