The Story

When Dad says it’s baking day, Harley the chubby golden dog grabs his apron (and a whisk). The kitchen fills with the smell of vanilla, laughter, and a little chaos as Harley “helps” by taste-testing every ingredient.

There’s flour on Dad’s hat, batter on Harley’s ears, and one heroic moment when Harley saves the last egg from rolling off the counter (he misses). In the end, their cake is lopsided but delicious — and Harley declares it “a snack-tacular success!”

Dog-Friendly Cake?: Yes! Some cakes can be made with peanut butter, banana, and oat flour — no chocolate or sugar, of course. Harley prefers extra frosting… made of whipped cream cheese.

Behind the Scenes: This story was inspired by a real kitchen adventure that ended with more flour on Harley than in the bowl. Dad still says it was the best cake ever — mostly because of Harley’s “taste testing.”
